DANIELLE GIBSON

Danielle Gibson is an Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department at Hamel-Smith Caribbean, where she works closely with David to navigate complex civil and commercial law disputes. Bringing a highly analytical, detail-oriented perspective to the team, Danielleleverages deep insight into the judicial decision-making process to craft robust, persuasive strategies for clients.

Before joining Hamel-Smith Caribbean, Daniellebuilt a distinguished six-year career within the judiciary, serving as a Judicial Research Counsel I and II at the Supreme Court of Judicature in Trinidad and Tobago. Operating across both civil and criminal jurisdictions, she was central to the research and preparation of judgments in high-stakes, intricate civil matters. This extensive exposure spanned administrative law, commercial law, land disputes, contentious probate, amongst others giving her a unique vantage point on how courts interpret complex commercial and public law issues.

To complement her litigation background, Danielle holds an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law (Distinction) from the UWI Cave Hill Campus. This background enhances her ability to analyze complex corporate challenges and provide clients with structured, legally sound solutions.
Outside of the office, Danielle is passionate about the creative arts. She enjoys watching plays, has dabbled in acting herself, and hopes to one day step behind the scenes to try her hand at playwriting and directing. A lover of culinary experimentation, she also enjoys cooking and baking, and values spending quality time recharging with family.
